The story begins in 1959 at Rydell High School, in Chicago’s suburban area, backed up by rock music. New student Sandy Dumbrowski starts attending Rydell, where she meets her summer flame and leader of the Burger Palace Boys, Danny Zuko. If she is happy to meet him again, his concern revolves more around his popularity and his image of gang leader than Sandy’s feelings. Undeterred by his aloofness, Sandy will seek help from the Pink Ladies and establish herself as a force to be reckoned with in this game of love and chance.
